Our Team in the Shop are Neil, Harrison and Jon. With a huge variety in experience, bike usage and accompanying skills, they are perfectly prepared for almost any Cycling need.Neil :
Easily noticeable with his impressive beard and his towering height, his role as Chief Tea Drinker and Assistant Manager means he is always on hand to provide advice and help you find the best bike for your needs. But do remember, if it isn't Yorkshire Tea, he doesn't want to hear it.Harrison:

The Boss, Owner and Tea maker. Jon has ridden bikes since borrowing David Sedman's Raleigh Chipper at age 7. His first bike was a Purple Mk2 Raleigh Chopper, from there its been mainly mountain biking with bouts of roadie weaknesses here and there! He has raced a few Enduro's in the last 10 years, but never troubled the scorers! Interests include anything on 2 wheels, with or without an engine. A Cytech Level 2 trained mechanic, He is learning to use a Lathe, slowly.

Our Team in the Workshop are Owen and Neil. There is very little that they haven't come across, built or ridden! Occasionally backed up by Jon, we can offer some of the fastest turnaround of work in the City.
Owen :
As our Apprentice mechanic, Owen is our most recent recruit. He comes to us with a variety of roles in his past all linked with riding bikes. From his youngest memory he has been on two wheels! An urban rider and mountain biker, Owen is eager to learn his trade and progress within CycleStreet.Specialising in anything with a chain but without an engine, CycleStreet is able to provide honest, unbiased advice on the right bike for you and how to improve your ride.
Key to our offer is bike servicing. The team has over 45 years of cycle maintenance experience, we are sure that Jake, John, Joe, Jon & Owen can handle just about anything on wheels, from minor repairs to custom wheel building and bespoke bike builds.
We try hard to maintain a 1 Hour turnaround on punctures and same day repairs where possible, we will advise the turnaround time on booking your repair.

Setup in 2010, we have grown quickly and confidently to become one of the largest stores in York, the only inner city store with parking too! We are all enthusiasts, we all ride daily, most of us race allbeit we wont be challenging the Brownlee brothers just yet! So, See you soon

Buttercup meadows near Hawes
Like you, we love cycling - and we're proud of our local area too - with the Moors and Wolds providing both technically and physically challenging routes and beautiful scenery to enjoy on the way round.
Putting this into practice, we host group road rides leaving the shop every Sunday at 8:30am.
Typically, these are medium paced (16-17mph) and range between 50 and 70 miles. The group ethos is inclusive and light hearted with no Strava watching.
